Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (NMN) is a precursor to NAD (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide, in the forms of NADH and NAD+) found in various vegetables, an important enzyme cofactor which depletes with age. This cofactor has largely been studied in the context of supporting age-related health, including cellular metabolism, where it can support the replenishing of NAD supplies while reducing age-associated inflammation. The beneficial effects on metabolism extend to muscle, where energy utilisation and expenditure are upregulated to assist with healthy weight management.
